I first became concerned with environmental issues in the late 1980's when the culture that surrounded me was obsessed with bigger, faster, cheaper, with no thought of consequences. Beginning college as an English major in 1990, I wrote papers on global warming and ozone depletion. In my spare time I read everything I could get my hands on about the environmental and natural health issues of the day, and found common threads running through my diverse areas of interest, leading towards more scientific studies. I ventured first into biology, then chemistry, learning about the molecular-level explanations of everyday phenomena. Georgia Green Living is the natural outcome of my interests and studies. My goal in creating GGL is to provide a central resource for citizens in the Georgia and Tennessee areas to learn about and implement greener choices in their day-to-day lives.
